We are introducing clinical triage for urgent or on the day appointment requests
To help us to ensure that you are seen by the right person at the right time patients requesting an urgent or “on the day” appointment with a doctor, or advanced nurse practitioner will be asked by the medical receptionist for their name, telephone number and a brief description of their symptoms, condition or problem. Medical receptionists also have a great deal of information about local services and they may be able to help with your enquiry by appointing you to the most appropriate clinician or service. If not they will pass your details on to a member of the clinical team who will endeavour to contact you within the hour. We ask that you remain available for this time.
Please note this change only applies to on the day or urgent appointments. Patients who prefer to book their appointments in advance are still able to do so, either on-line or by telephone.
